[Football] FIFA Grade A Outdoor Lighting Retrofit Project

LED stadium lighting, planned for your Business

CPS Lighting designs and supplies professional LED sports lighting systems. At Jinlin Sports Center, we supplied Sirius LED floodlights with lighting simulation and installation support to replace an ageing football stadium lighting system.

Planning a retrofit or a new pitch? CPS offers free DIALux lighting simulation to help review your proposed layout before you select the fixture mix.

1. The project and the challenge

Jinlin Sports Center in Sanmen, Taizhou needed to renew a system affected by ageing wiring, repeated faults and corrosion. The project brief called for better playing-field visibility, support for television coverage, controllable operating modes and reduced power demand.

The task was therefore broader than replacing lamps. Roof mounting positions, electrical condition, fixture weight, aiming and maintenance access all affected the proposed LED stadium lighting system. Existing structures required project-specific assessment rather than a universal mounting arrangement.

2. What changed after the retrofit

The published project record reports a reduction in connected lighting power from 716.8 kW to 367.2 kW. That is 349.6 kW less connected load, or approximately 48.8%. It is a power comparison, not an independently verified annual electricity-bill saving.

Power figures are from the supplied case and the published CPS project record. Annual energy use also depends on operating hours, dimming settings and the modes actually used.

CPS also reports a project Glare Rating below 40. Glare Rating describes discomfort from bright sources in an outdoor viewing position; it is a layout result, not a property that every installation of the same lamp automatically achieves.

3. Sirius LED floodlights: 200W to 1200W

The project record identifies the Sirius Projection Light, 200–1200W family. Explore the current catalogue options below, then let the lighting design determine the wattage mix for your venue.

Catalogue selection reference; not the installed fixture schedule. Product images are displayed at comparable sizes, not to physical scale.

Mounting height, pitch dimensions, optics and target light levels determine which powers work together. Adjustable brackets and shielding help direct light onto the playing area; the driver and control configuration must match the requested operating modes.

4. Lighting design, product supply and installation support

CPS’s published scope includes lighting simulation and design, product supply and remote installation support. The practical value is a coordinated proposal that relates the equipment to the venue, not just a list of wattages.

  • Design: DIALux or AGi32 modelling for layout and aiming support.

  • Equipment: selection of the Sirius floodlight family for the outdoor stadium application.

  • Installation support: guidance on fixture positions and aiming, with local structural and electrical responsibilities agreed in the project scope.

  • Controls: discuss match, training and reduced-output modes; confirm the exact protocol and components in the quotation.

For a broadcast-oriented venue, the acceptance discussion should cover horizontal and camera-facing vertical illuminance, uniformity, glare, color quality and camera flicker behaviour. A concise project report is more useful to a buyer than unsupported claims of universal FIFA approval or compatibility with every camera.

5. Manufacturing and testing behind the proposal

CPS Lighting combines luminaire supply with design support and manufacturing resources. Its company profile identifies Shenzhen Fluence Technology PLC. (stock code 300647), established in 2005, and a Huizhou production base. The profile reports 527 authorized patents by the end of 2025; that is company-level background, not certification of this project or every product.

Its testing laboratory lists photometric, electrical safety, surge, environmental and mechanical testing equipment. Buyers can request model-specific evidence for the proposed product; the presence of laboratory equipment alone is not certification of every model.

The OEM/ODM manufacturing overview covers processes including CNC machining, finishing and assembly. For an overseas project, confirm required documentation, customization, shipping scope, installation responsibilities and warranty terms before placing an order.

6. Request your free DIALux lighting simulation

Tell us about your football pitch or stadium: share a plan or dimensions, mounting heights, project location and intended competition, training or broadcast use.

Request free DIALux lighting simulation and discuss a suitable Sirius fixture configuration and supply proposal with CPS. You do not need to guess the wattage before the layout is reviewed.
